Warranty Statement for Sensormatic Automatic Doors and Legal requirements for Automatic Doors to be on a BWOF Compliance Schedule

As the manufacturer of the automatic doors installed, we will undertake to replace or repair at our discretion parts that prove to be defective due to faulty manufacture for a period of 1 years for parts , 6 months for labour and 1 months for the adjustments of activation sensors from the date of completion at our cost.

This warranty is automatically invalidated if the manufacturers recommended installation, commissioning, service and maintenance procedures are not followed.

This warranty does not include accidental or malicious damage, operator error or for other building systems (eg fire/security/power) that are connected to the doors that malfunction.

Please note that the warranty does not include the costs for; Any preventative maintenance servicing. IQP 12a Certification. These are additional services that unless they have been specifically included in the door supply contract need to be purchased.

Legal requirements for a Building Warrant of Fitness:

The automatic doors, if they form part of a designated egress path, are required to be listed on the buildings Compliance Schedule under SS3.1

The prescribed inspection and maintenance requirements for this product are; 3 monthly inspection and preventative maintenance servicing as shown on the manufacturers 30 point service schedule.

This is to ensure BWOF compliance and ongoing safety to building occupiers.

Prior to the issuing of the Annual Buildings Warrant of Fitness a 12a certificate needs to be issued by a registered IQP certifying that all the required maintenance has been completed in the previous 12 months.

Compliance Service Agreement and 5 Year Extended Warranty:

Commercial Door Services are able to offer the required 3 monthly service checks and can issue the 12a certificate.

The 3 monthly preventative maintenance servicing consists of a 30 point checklist that the technician completes and which is held on file, with a copy being sent to the building owner or their representative.

This service can be implemented by the client entering into a written Compliance agreement with Commercial Door Services.

Where a Compliance Agreement is put in place with Commercial Door Services we will extend the warranty period for as long as the Service Agreement is in place up to a maximum of 5 years on parts only at no additional cost to the agreed Compliance agreement sum.
